Moving between the entrance and exit feels both forward and backward, as if time is suspended in the passage. In what state does it remain inside the tunnel? I attempt to depict a momentary cross-section within the tunnel, one that exists both here and elsewhere.
Tsai Tsung-Hsun currently works and lives in Taipei, Taiwan. His creative focus centers on experiences between places, responding to the concept of “place” through the uncertainties generated by distance. Organizing stories, materials, spatial characteristics, and geographical conditions of different locations, he describes these places through multiple narratives about them, practicing a method of imagining space.
