Imagine the body as a vessel filled with the ocean. As chests rise and fall, the sounds of breathing and the ocean overlap and converse, gradually sharing a unified frequency. This work captures the noon nap time process in a kindergarten, using the quiet scene of a group falling asleep to observe how individuals adapt to order and the magical moments in the collective subconscious.
Drawing inspiration from astronomy, geography, and archaeology, the artist’s works are often based on personal sensory experiences and observations in the present moment. Using spatial installations, video, sculpture, and text as mediums, they reorganize bodily experiences within space to create scenes replete with narrative atmosphere, capturing the connections or disconnections between reality and fiction woven in time and space.
