About this project
“Hi Story” invites us to journey between memory and imagination, moving between lived experiences and dreamed stories. At this year’s Nuit Blanche Taipei, two participatory experiences open the doors of perception, making art a shared language between the artists and the Taiwanese public.
In Scent of Fabric, French voguing legend Lasseindra Lanvin brings the spirit of the Ballroom to life in Taipei. A voguing ball is more than a competition—it is a ritual of celebration and resistance, born from the margins to create spaces of light and freedom.
Here, the body becomes a manifesto, sculpting the air through movement and redefining the notion of free identity. In a democracy as vibrant as Taiwan, this feast of forms and voices invites everyone to enter the dance—to experience the joy of belonging and the power of shared creativity.
In dialogue with this, French artist Pierre Delavie presents an immersive site-specific installation beneath the Zhongshan Bridge. True to his art of transforming perception, he plays with illusion and scale to question our relationship with reality. Within this “forest” of weathered pillars, sculpture, music, and light converge to create a sensory passage. Both participatory and fragile, the work embodies the very spirit of Nuit Blanche.
Two propositions, two ways of inhabiting history: through the movement of bodies, and through the transformation of space.

Kitty Hartl is an artistic director based in Paris, France, specializing in large-scale, cross-disciplinary art projects that transform public spaces through artistic intervention. She served for two consecutive years as the Director of Nuit Blanche Paris and curated Un Été au Havre, bringing poetic and cultural vitality to cities through contemporary art projects that merge the permanent and the ephemeral.
Her career began at Le Lieu Unique in Nantes, one of France’s most emblematic cultural venues, where she developed bold and multidisciplinary curatorial experiments. A tireless explorer, she works across visual arts, music, live performance, and the performing arts, revealing the vitality of each discipline and presenting them to the public through new forms of collective experience.
In 2004, she founded the legendary performance troupe Cabaret New Burlesque, which inspired Mathieu Amalric’s Cannes Award–winning film Tournée and continues to tour major European theaters today. Visionary in her approach, she also co-founded Kitônet with an architect—a creative platform and laboratory for experimentation between art and urbanism.
Her curatorial projects are always connected to the present and future of cities—transforming the port of Le Havre, re-enchanting Paris by night, or inviting the public to explore KM12 à Chelles, a large-scale celebration held on the construction site of the Grand Paris Express metro.
Today, she returns to Taipei as the French Guest Curator, marking her second artistic adventure with Nuit Blanche Taipei.
