Inspired by the faint stirrings at the edges of forests and cities, the aluminum installation moves slowly in intermittent and unpredictable ways, mimicking the lurking and sudden movements of insects. Hidden close to the ground, the work exudes silent vigilance, like a life form waiting for the right moment.
Starting from everyday experiences, Chih Chiu disturbs space through installations and interactive designs, awakening people’s awareness of the relationship between bodily memory and the environment, transforming sensations into observable fields of behavior.
