In front of the Ferris wheel, two microphones are set up to invite the audience to activate the entire work through sound. Each microphone controls the lights on one side of the Ferris wheel, meaning that lighting up the entire structure requires cooperation between multiple people.
This setup naturally encourages group participation—whether by bringing friends or collaborating with strangers on site. When the sound is soft, only the lower cabins light up. As the volume increases, the lights gradually rise along the wheel. Once the entire Ferris wheel is illuminated, it triggers a brief audio-visual performance.
This is a collective, interactive invitation to transform individual voices into shared power. In front of this massive Ferris wheel—an icon of childhood memories for many—we once again call out, gathering the strength of many.

For Yao Chung-Han, creation is an integral part of life. From seemingly broken fluorescent lights transformed into vibrant illumination, from deconstructed sound art to structured music production, from framed works to spatial-scale concepts; no matter how the form of his work evolves, what remains constant is his pursuit of the possibilities within his own creative expression. He began working with sound in 2005. His representative works include the fluorescent light installation Flowing Coordinates and the ongoing An Electronic Monster series started in 2017. Yao’s creative identity is multifaceted—he is not only an artist but also a sound creator.
