About this performance

We live in a world where the cycle of day and night is something we take for granted. Despite being caught up in the busyness of life, we can still sense the subtle unease that comes with the shift between light and dark. Why not take a moment to pause and reflect? What does it feel like? At the boundary of No. 7 Park, during the quiet hours of day and night, close your eyes and listen—hear the autumn wind, for it carries more than just the season’s change.

落語家:開樂亭凡笑 Kairakutei Bonshyo(戴開成 Dai Kai Cheng)

Rakugo: Kairakutei Bonshyo

His real name is Dai Kaicheng, and his stage name is Kairakutei Bonshyo. Born in Tianjin, grew up in Tokyo and Taipei. He loves storytelling and has been exposed to cross talk storytelling since he was a child. Later he came into contact with rakugo in Japan and became deeply involved in it. Today, he is deeply passionate about rakugo cross talk, fully immersed in this performing art. While pursuing his studies in architectural design, he actively performs both art forms. Beyond performing, he serves as a translator and tour guide for cultural and academic exchanges between Taiwan and Japan. His work fosters cross-cultural connections, and his performances are diverse and dynamic. Through humor and storytelling, he reflects on both the past and the present. He has realized that whether he is performing, translating, guiding, or designing, all these roles allow him to interpret the world from his own perspective. Regularly traveling between Taiwan and Japan, he shares his experiences and joy with the people he encounters along the way. If you ever meet him by chance, don’t hesitate to strike up a conversation, share a drink, and enjoy a few jokes together.
