About this performance
「極相林」一場生命凝鍊的路途，是痛覺的儀式。
舞者用抝摺的身體，演繹出銘刻在肉身裡最原始的記憶，探詢臺灣文化的源頭，在神與人之間，如同植物共生般，消長之際逐漸趨向寂靜安詳之境。
“Renaissance of its Ashes” A journey of life condensation is a ritual of pain.
The dancers use their twisted bodies to interpret the most primitive memories engraved in the flesh, exploring the origins of Taiwanese culture. The relationship between gods and humans is like a symbiosis between plants, growing and declining.

何曉玫MeimageDance於2010年創立。作品多元、特異，並閃耀著鮮明的女性形象。其作品《默島新樂園》組裝了繁盛、金光、野艷與喧囂的臺灣當代性，赤裸呈現生命中每一塊搏動肉體的特寫。她總是懂得如何以燥熱與冷酷的不同取徑，碰觸靈魂中最讓人動容的生命基底。
近年來，也與科技共舞，開啟了虛擬與實境的新篇章。創作「重心計畫」系列包括：《肉身到虛擬：極相林》、VR《林相繽紛-VR林投～姐ㄚ》、《芭比的獨白VR》。自2023年起，以《默島進行曲》計畫，帶領大家一起踏出台灣的跤步，走出劇場，邀請在地陣頭團隊在廟埕匯舞，開創「從現在開始的舞蹈傳統」。
MeimageDance was founded in 2010 by He Xiao-mei. The works are diverse, unique, and sparkle with distinct female images. The work “New Paradise of Silent Island” assembles the prosperity, golden light, wild beauty and bustle of Taiwan’s contemporary nature, nakedly presenting close-ups of every pulsating body in life. She always knows how to touch the most moving foundation of life in the soul with different approaches, hot and cold.
In recent years, she has also utilized technology and opened a new chapter in virtual and real environments.
The creations of the “Focus Project” series includes: “From Flesh to Virtual: Renaissance of its Ashes “, VR “Colorful Forests-VR Lin Tou~Sister”, and “Barbie’s Monologue VR”. Starting from 2023, with the “March of Silent Island” project, she has led everyone out of Taiwan and out of the theater, and invited local formations to dance at temple courts, creating a “dance tradition from now on”.
