About this project

《In the Abyss, Once Again as a Perceiver》
This project employs robotic technology to explore human fears of technological replacement. The robotic arm performs seemingly destructive drilling actions, yet causes the sacred wood to release calming fragrance, symbolizing new opportunities within technological disruption. The work features both automated and interactive modes, integrating weather-responsive audio to create a dynamic sonic landscape. The sacred wood’s fragrance reminds viewers of the importance of emotional values in our rationality-driven technological age, suggesting humans can redefine their coexistence with machines.
